Power of the Blessing

Prov. 10:22; Eph. 1:3 – The blessing of the LORD, it makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it…. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ.

 

What is the Blessing?

The blessing is a supernatural flavour that attracts favour. Labour is good but favour and the blessing of God is better! With the blessing upon all that you do, struggle becomes far from you.

When we are talking about the blessing, we are talking about a divine lift – the supernatural power that makes you visible, audible and become invigorated and heightened in all that you do.

The blessing is an endowment from God that empowers for exploits. It is a yeast that makes a man to rise above the limitations of destiny. It is an attention commanding dimension of success and influence.

Mal. 3:12 – “And all nations shall call you blessed: for you shall be a delightsome land, said the LORD of hosts.”

The blessing is supernatural empowerment that breaks family and ancestral limitations.

Gen. 49:22-27; Gen. 12: 1-3

The blessing makes you a channel of blessing to others.

Abraham had the tendency to become a blessing, but he was still in his father’s house. Sometimes to become great and be a blessing, you need to leave your kindred.

One lesson from vs. 3 – you don’t fight a blessed man, you partner with a blessed man. Speaking against a blessed man does not bring him down, you however risk being cursed for dishonouring him.

Where there is no blessing, you labour in vain.

The blessing is spiritual, cannot be seen, but it creates the scene.

The blessing is a supernatural seal of distinction that stands a person out of the crowd.

Where others are queuing up without hope, the blessing of God will single you out!

The blessing is a supernatural force that drives a man into the centre of God’s will, plan or destiny for you.

In the name of Jesus, you will not miss the people you’re supposed to meet; and you will not meet the people you’re meant to miss.

The blessing of God is supernatural power for enlargement.

Isa. 51: 1, 2 – “Listen to me, you that follow after righteousness, you that seek the LORD: look to the rock from where you are hewn, and to the hole of the pit from where you are dig. Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah that bore you: for I called him alone, and blessed him, and increased him.”

The blessing increases people. You may be solitary and one when He called you, but when He blesses you, you become many!

The blessing makes you become what heaven has programmed for your life!

The blessing of the Lord is an aroma of importance and relevance. It gives you identity among the prominent. Prov. 10: 22.

 

Power of the Blessing

1. The blessing carries an investment protection power. Because you carry the blessing, you invest right first and foremost – then your investments are protected from the devourer.

Mal 3:10 – “Bring you all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in my house, and prove me now herewith, said the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”

2.The blessing of God arrives with divine defense and immunity. Gen. 9:1-2; Job 1:10

“Have not you made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he has on every side? you have blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.”

3. The blessing carries curse reversing power. Gen. 8:20-22.

4. It gives you stress-free and sorrow-free realms of success.

5. It processes a person unto wealth. The blessing makes you a custodian of wealth.

6. It gives you access to the realm of divine guidance and counsel. You have a connection to Heaven’s voice and it prevents you from mistakes.

7. It offers divine covering and immunity against climatic, economic and environmental issues/afflictions.

Because your blessings come from heaven, the limitations of the nation cannot stop you.

8. The power of the blessing acts as fertilizer for supernatural supplies and growth. It is a supernatural force for unstoppable progress, growth, greatness and vitality.

 

How does One Carry the Blessing?

There’s always a vehicle through which the blessing comes into one’s life.

1. Giving to the poor – which is lending to God and God never owes. This form of giving breaks you out of poverty.

2. Blessing your parents. This guarantees long life. Honour your covenant relationship with your parents.

3. Tithing. A tenth of your income that is not yours but God’s. This breaks you out of poverty, the attack of the devourer and opens up the windows of the heaven for you.

Never underpay or struggle with paying your tithe.

4. Ezek. 44: 30. The first things belong to God – this is where the principle of seeking His kingdom FIRST apply.

Bringing the first fruits to God and your priest is THE BLESSING. There is a reason the scriptures said “bring” and not “give”- because it is God’s. Maintain financial faithfulness with God – whatsoever you sow, you shall reap.

Giving first fruits gives you capacity to a bursting level of prosperity.

If your worry is about how you’ll take care of your family after giving the first fruit, this is where trust comes in – that God will never leave you stranded.

The way to make this easy especially as a business owner is to calculate your entire profit from your business in the first month of business and give to God.

You will not fail! As you go in your day-to-day activities, the power of God is released upon your life, family, ministry and work, in the name of Jesus!
