Vision & Goal-Setting

In this brand new decade, your vision will determine your acceleration. Without vision, there will be no movement.

Only a grateful heart can do greater works, and it takes joyfulness to connect to visions.

Vision is divine insight into God’s plan for an individual or an organisation.

It is seeing into an experience before it happens – ability to capture your future today. Habb. 2:1. Your journey will be straight if you have a clear vision – a vision you can run with.

Any goal without a set time for achievement is a waste of time.

Another definition says it is a mental image of a desired/preferred future. To dream is free, dream large!

Principles will sustain what miracles bring, without principles, your miracles/prosperity is short-lived.

Your destiny is bigger than any friend. If they’re pulling you down, cut them off. Gen. 13: 14. If you don’t know your destination, you’ll lose track. There is need for accuracy in your vision.

Vision is an aspirational description of what an individual or an organisation would like to achieve within mid-term or long-term future.

It is a clearly vivid defined future that is orider by your mental activity. Visions and goals are mind tasking, anyone who cannot task their minds cannot go far.

Spiritual people are thinkers. The worth of your mind is the worth of your life. Spirituality is not an excuse to be foolish.

As powerful as visions are, not all of them come to pass…

WHY VISIONS FAIL

1. Lack of clarity.
2. Broken focus.
3. Procrastination. Whatever steals your time has stolen your destiny.
4. Improper planning and goal setting.
5. Wrong motives. God might not give you what is yours until your motive is right. For what you’re praying for, check your mindset.
6. Impatience. An impatient man will lose its destiny.
7. Wrong team. Prov. 13:20. If your friend is foolish, you’ll end up foolish. Let your vision choose your friendship. It is better to run alone than run with the wrong person(s).
Psa. 1:1. If you walk with them, you’ll stand with them and eventually sit with them – then you’ll begin to look like them. Watch the company you keep.
8. Lack of review. From time to time, review your goals and visions. It’ll help you appreciate what you have done (this year, enjoy and celebrate your progress), & it’ll help you see what needs to be done or amended.

2. It grants God’s intervention over the vision. Luke 17:12-19
3. It glorifies and announces the vision. Jeremiah 30:19
4. It guards our heart towards assurance in God to accomplish the vision. Philippians 4:6-7
5. It increases your faith and confidence. Romans 4:18-20
6. It guarantees divine backing.
7. It establishes our vision. Colossians 2:7
8. It enlarges and increases our vision. Jeremiah 30:19
