Forces of Victory: An Easter Sermon

HAPPY EASTER, MAY THE RESURRECTION POWER GIVE YOU VICTORY TODAY AND ALWAYS!

 

Matt. 28: 5; 27: 39-50

 

Why Did Jesus Have to Die?

  1. Because all have sinned! Rom. 3: 23. But He didn’t only die, He resurrected, hallelujah! Rom. 6: 23
  2. Because He had to take our place in death. I John 4: 10. Our sins qualify us for death, but God gave His Son to be our substitute. Where we are supposed to die, suffer and see shame – He took our place! He suffered, He saw shame and then He died! I John 2: 2
  3. He died to bring us into glory. We have restoration because Jesus died! Wherever you are reading this from, say this to yourself “I live in glory!” 2: 10
  4. To destroy death. Heb. 2: 14. He won the battle in the grave! Victory happened in the grave. Eph 4: 8-10. He went down into the abyss first to rise up in glory.

I prophesy over you, because of Jesus’ death and ascension, you are rising and ascending into glory. Col. 2: 14

Because He is risen, you are rising!

 

Jesus’ Sacrifice

One of the significances of Christ’s death is the sacrifice He paid.

John 12: 24; 10: 17-18

Jesus was nor murdered, He laid down His life. He paid the price for greatness to happen!

He was an example to us all. Reflect on this, have you received grace to pay the price? The price for the salvation of others, the price for others to be safe and secure in our countries. Christians need to pray for our nations, communities and the world.

How to Take Your Stand for Jesus

  1. Stand for Christ – when it is difficult, take your stand for Jesus!
  2. Tell the world about Him. Tell everybody that He is the King that is alive today and forever!
  3. Live for Him. Your lifestyle must portray the fact that you live for Christ. You live everyday as if He is coming today, while you plan as if He is coming in the next one thousand years.

The Resurrection Day & Power

Matt. 28: 2-4 – “And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat on it. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:  And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.”

 

When the power of resurrection descends, every enemy goes down for you to rise!

From the moment Jesus rose,

  • Matt. 27: 51-53. There was nothing hidden in the heavens that we no longer have access to. The veil has been torn away!
  • Rev. 5: 4-6, 12. All of our tears have been wiped away, because the Lion of the tribe of Judah prevailed!
  • Acts. 1: 4-11. We have access to God and the power of the Holy Spirit. Rom. 8: 10, 11. His Spirit quickens our mortal bodies and nothing is tied down anymore!
  • Gal. 2: 20. We have a new life – above disease, plagues and attack! I John 5: 11-12. Not only is the life new, it is eternal life embedded in Jesus, the risen Son of God! II Pet. 1: 3-4. We access to all things that pertains to life and godliness, and the very divine nature of God! Therefore, we have access to divine capacity. II Cor. 5: 17. This new life is triggered by the Holy Spirit in us. Mark 16: 15-18

 

 

Prayer Points/Declarations:

Say the following prayers today

  • Every good thing dead in my life, come back alive now in the name of Jesus.
  • Resurrection power of God come upon me in Jesus’ name. I am healed of every infirmity and disease in Jesus’ name.
  • I take authority over the oppression of the devil and hell around me in Jesus’ name.
  • Every stone of barrenness, joblessness, delay covering my life, the hand of God is rolling them away by the power of the resurrection in Jesus’ name.
  • Everyone on assignment to keep watch over my life become as dead men today in Jesus’ name.
  • Everything buried in my life are coming back alive now in the name of Jesus.
  • I receive life in my body, business, family, finance, marriage in the name of Jesus!
  • I no longer weep from today!
