To have financial dominion is to rule over money, to have power over money and not the other way round. It is different from having financial prosperity.
The kingdom of God is above earthly principles. We can be assured that even in a recession, God makes resources available for His own.
Psa. 66: 10 –“For you, O God, have proved us: you have tried us, as silver is tried.”
There is a place called the wealthy place of God. Kingdom financial dominion is given to those who have been proved by God.
Kingdom Principles for Financial Dominion
1. Kingdom Addiction. To be addicted to something is to not be able to do without that thing.
Psa. 122: 1-2 – “I was glad when they said to me, Let us go into the house of the LORD. Our feet shall stand within your gates, O Jerusalem.”
Job 36: 11 – “If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.”
Your being glued to God and his household ensures prosperity for you and pleasure in your years! Your love and joy for the house of God gives you dominion.
I Chron. 29: 2 – “Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colors, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.”
The bigger your capacity to bless God and His people, the easier your entrance into your wealthy place. This determines continuous flow of prosperity. You shine brighter and brighter!
2. Work. Spirituality is not an excuse for irresponsibility. If you are committed to God and the church but you are not working, you are playing on the edge of poverty.
When God created man, the first thing He gave him was work/
We need to be balanced Christians.
II Thess. 3: 10 – “For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “THE ONE WHO IS UNWILLING TO WORK SHALL NOT EAT.””
While you are highly connected to the blessings of Abraham, but at the same time your hands must be put to work!
There is a doing before prosperity!
Psa. 1: 3 – “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; AND WHATEVER HE DOES SHALL PROSPER.”
Prov. 14: 23 – “IN ALL LABOUR THERE IS PROFIT: but the talk of the lips tends only to penury.”
Favour cannot rest on you if you run from work.
3. Financial Integrity. As a Christian, you must have financial integrity. It is the ability to give the right account for money placed in your hands.
Financial dominion is not for those that lack financial integrity.
Job 22: 21 – “Acquaint now yourself with him, and be at peace: thereby good shall come to you. Receive, I pray you, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in your heart. If you return to the Almighty, you shall be built up, you shall put away iniquity far from your tabernacles.”
God builds you up when you have integrity.
The integrity part of finance is more important to God than the prosperity aspect of the finance. The HOW is more important than the WHAT.
Job 1: 1-3. You can maintain a simple life of integrity and prosper more than the one who is stealing.
Prov. 11: 1 – “A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.”
When you steal from people, you are opening yourself up to a strike from the devil.
The worst form of stealing is stealing from God.
Psa. 92: 12, 45: 4
Giving to God should become a lifestyle. Learn to give appropriately, adequately and continuously.
Nobody prospers by what they are given, you prosper by what you give to God.
II Cor. 9: 8 – 10 – “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: (As it is written, He has dispersed abroad; he has given to the poor: his righteousness remains for ever. Now he that ministers seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)”
It takes the giving grace to make the journey great! For an increased financial lifestyle, you need an increased capacity for giving. – @pastorblessingo – Click to Tweet
How to Trigger Kingdom Prosperity
Haggai 2: 7 – “And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, said the LORD of hosts. The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, said the LORD of hosts. The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, said the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, said the LORD of hosts.”
1. Have the Mentality for It. You have to believe that you are well provided for.
Your mindset is your life set. Think like a king, not a pauper. You can’t think poor and be rich. If there is no money in your mind, there can’t be money in your pocket.
2. Have Honour. This is to have high esteem and great respect for a person. This is generation lacks honour for God and you must NOT fall into this temptation.
Mal. 1: 6 – “A son honors his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is my honor? and if I be a master, where is my fear? said the LORD of hosts to you, O priests, that despise my name. And you say, wherein have we despised your name?”
You must have covenant respect and regard for anything that is God’s and is a vessel of God.
Honour gives access. Who you disregard, you lose access to. #covenanthonour – @pastorblessingo – Click to Tweet
Matt. 10: 41 – “He that receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.”
When you honour the prophet, you receive the prophet reward.
II Kings 2: 12 – “And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.
13 He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan…”
Because Elisha respected Elijah, the blessing upon Elijah fell upon him.
I pray for you today, you will not miss your inheritance!
How to Honour Your Men of God
- Have a practical covenant respect for them. Do not speak negatively against them
- Pray for them. Do not leave pastors to pray for themselves.
- Give your goodwill. Be kind and compassionate towards them.
- Serve and give to them.
3. Have Audacity. You must take great action with audaciousness, despite opposition.
Be bold and audacious in your dealings. Be bold in your mindset and mentality.
Be willing to take bold risks and daring steps at heaven’s command.
Heb. 11: 7-9 – “By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing where he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise…”
Taking daring risks moves you from your current level to a higher one.
Be audacious in obeying God. When you know God is asking you to move in a direction, you lunge into it! The more you linger in your obedience, the more you delay your blessing.
Be audacious in giving sacrificially. You receive the reward of your seed if you first give it with boldness and a daring spirit.
4. Become a God lover. It is love that makes your fasting, prayers, sacrifice and service to God to work.
Love makes your motive right. Any giving that is not done from the standpoint of love is useless.
John 21: 15 – “So when they had dined, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, love you me more than these? He said to him, Yes, Lord; you know that I love you. He said to him, Feed my lambs.”
Anything you love more than God, you will eventually lose.
II Chron. 26: 15 – “And he made in Jerusalem engines, invented by cunning men, to be on the towers and on the bulwarks, to shoot arrows and great stones with. And his name spread far abroad; for he was marvelously helped, till he was strong.”
Being a lover and seeker of God releases you into realms of prosperity that is beyond labour.
Matt. 6: 31 – “Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?”
Every high flyer in the kingdom, their love for God is the secret. Every lover of God will always command wealth.
