Welcome to this teaching the Seven Spirits of God
God is a Spirit and those that worship Him must do this in spirit and in truth.
The spirits of the Lord, wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, knowledge and the fear of the Lord – these are the seven spirits of God.
It is the completeness of these spirits that we call the fullness of the Spirit.
The Fullness of the Spirit
The will of God for you is to be filled with His Spirit – where there is the fullness of His spirit, you sit above situations and not the other way round.
Declare it this minute, I receive the fullness of the spirit.
Being filled with the Spirit of God is to operate on multi-dimensional levels of the seven spirits of God.
Isa. 11: 1-3 – “A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit. The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord— and he will delight in the fear of the Lord.”
Vs. 10 says, “in that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his resting place will be glorious.”
This banner that would come to stand as the rod and banner for the people was Jesus. We are the expression of the life of Jesus. He came to give us life, and see to it that we are filled with the Spirit of God.
Rev. 4: 4-5 – “And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and on the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold. And out of the throne proceeded lightning and thunder and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.”
Where there are these seven lamps are seven different fires that represent the seven spirits of God – this means anyone who carries the fullness of this
Rev. 5: 6 – “And I beheld, and, see, in the middle of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the middle of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.”
Receiving the Holy Spirit is not just speaking in tongues, it is just a doorway into the spirit realm. You need to press into new levels and into new and deeper things in God.
Eph 5: 18-19 – “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.”
Spirit of the Lord
This is the spirit of lordship. It is the spirit that gives you dominion, boldness and keeps you in charge.
In the OT, before the men of God would perform, we would read that the spirit of the Lord came upon them. This is true of David, Elijah, Samson, Gideon etc.
The spirit of the Lord gives you mastery over issues. A spiritual man judges all things and situations, yet he is judge of no one.
Judges 4: 6 – “The Spirit of the LORD came powerfully upon him so that he tore the lion apart with his bare hands as he might have torn a young goat. But he told neither his father nor his mother what he had done.”
I Sam. 10: 6 – “The Spirit of the LORD will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them; and you will be changed into a different person.”
Kings and prophets operate by this spirit to speak over a situation – they do not speak with timidity or fear but with boldness.
Spirit of Wisdom
When you are in charge, you need wisdom so that you will not crash. Samson lacked this spirit even though he had the spirit of the Lord. The spirit of wisdom must work hand in hand with the spirit of the Lord.
The wisdom of God (Sophia) keeps you sane and in charge.
Joshua 1: 9 – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
The gift of wisdom is different from the spirit of wisdom. Solomon had the gift of wisdom; it is the outworking of the spirit of wisdom.
- The spirit of wisdom is a force that gives direction from the inside.
- It gives you excellence. Excellence is doing it better than the way you do it yesterday. It is having quality in quantity.
- It imparts wealth. The foundation of wealth is wisdom.
- It imparts outstanding achievement.
- It creates mighty works. This spirit was operational in Jesus. You enjoy mighty acts of God when you are filled with the spirit of wisdom.
Spirit of Understanding
Understanding makes you outstanding. It makes you shine and gives you an edge to stand tall separate from others.
Understanding gives you enlightenment and the capacity to grasp and solve what others cannot.
Dan. 5: 12 – “For as much as an excellent spirit, and knowledge, and understanding, interpreting of dreams, and showing of hard sentences, and dissolving of doubts, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar: now let Daniel be called, and he will show the interpretation.”
This spirit in Daniel brought him before the king because he had the reputation of dissolving hard problems.
Take a minute to declare to yourself, I receive the spirit of understanding. I will be brought before kings and great men. The one that will bring me before great men is locating me today.
Exo. 31: 1 – 5 – “And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, see, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: and I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.”
The spirit of understanding gives you a deep spiritual supernatural comprehension of things, by the wisdom of heaven.
It gives deep interpretation of matters. With the spirit of understanding, you have administrative capacities, invention and creative capacities.
Spirit of Counsel
Prov. 1: 5 – “A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain to wise counsels.”
Isa. 9: 6 – “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given: and the government shall be on his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
There is a spirit of wonderful counsel of God upon Jesus since the time He was born.
Counsel is wise understanding that preserves purpose. The spirit of counsel reveals dark intentions – it is a revealer of intentions.
It empowers for correct decisions. When you have the spirit of counsel, you don’t take the wrong steps.
The Holy Spirit is the spirit of counsel within you that gives you capacity for right steps, instructions, answers, words, actions and the right life.
Spirit of Might
Micah 3: 8 – “But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare to Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.”
With the spirit of might, you go from strength to strength – physically, in your work, marriage
Judges 14: 6 – “And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily on him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.”
Eph. 3: 16 – “That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man.”
Delare to yourself, I am strengthened with might! There is might and vitality in my body! I operate the spirit of might.
It empowers you for unusual strength and vigour.
Another dimension of the spirit of might is of supernatural force and power for judgement.
It gives you divine ability for miracles.
Spirit of Knowledge
Eph. 1: 17 – “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.”
The spirit of knowledge carries information to you. It empowers you to know more than your teachers. It empowers you for divine knowledge, enlightened mind and a fresh flow of ideas.
It is an impartation of the omniscience of God.
Spirit of the fear of the Lord
This flows around you when you operate in the spirits of the Lord, might, wisdom, counsel, knowledge and might.
The spirit of the fear cautions you and those around you.
Proverbs 8: 13-17 – “The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogance, and the evil way, and the fraudulent mouth, do I hate. Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength. By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth. I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.”
Where there is no fear of God, people will power misbehave. If you fear God, you will not do a lot of things that a man under authority should do.
Say these prayers today,
Father fill me with your fullness. Let the fullness of your spirit be my portion. I refuse to be empty.
From today, I know what to do by the spirit of the Lord.
